Does anyone know what the monument is close to Junction 21 of the M5.

Here's an aeriel photo of the monument on bing.com:

It's a three-sided metal tower enclosed inside a fence on top
of an earth mound. From the photo it looks as though there was
once a path up the mound but it's now overgrown and too difficult
to reach the top.

Try using Multimap http://www.multimap.com/ In aerial view it's not
built but in birdseye it is.

Gosh, that aeriel photo is old (before Churchland Way connected
the dual carriage way to Wolvershill Road). However if you look
at the aeriel photo inbetween the lake and Scot Elm Drive there
is a redish area with a vehicle on it. This is now the embankment
on which the monument sits, so it's just possible that the monument
was built shortly after that photo was taken.

The monument and lake looks as though they are to become a local
amenity for the nearby housing, so hopfully when the housing
is finished they will put up some information boards to explain
what it's all about.

Cheers.
Nick.
